Roaccutane

You can use Roaccutane to treat severe or persistent acne and other skin conditions that can leave scars, such as rosacea or painful pigmentation spots. It often serves as a last resort – doctors will only prescribe it in severe cases and when other treatments have failed. It is a successful and popular medication because approximately 90% of patients see significant improvement within four to six months.

Effects of Roaccutane

The symptoms of acne can sometimes worsen during the first week. This is a normal occurrence. The effect on the acne will only be noticeable after a few weeks. Usually, a course of 4 to 6 months is sufficient. After stopping, the medication continues to work for about 8 weeks, and the symptoms may decrease further. Approximately 1 in 5 people require a second course. This should only be started 2 months after stopping the first course.
